At Springfield Sport Horses, we offer English riding lessons, as well as basic through training level Dressage. Whether you are just starting out or have been riding for years. We can help you improve your skills in a professional, safe, knowledgeable environment with two experienced instructors. The following packages are available for our riders:
Considered our pay-as-you go option. Package A offers a single, 1 hr lesson that includes horse care, horsemanship and safety. All while developing or perfecting your flat and over fences Equitation. All done within your comfort zone and individual skill sets. Each lesson is customized to the rider’s comfort and experience level.
Cost is $50/hr
Purchased as a group. Package B offers four one-hour lessons at a discounted rate. These sessions includes horsemanship, Equitation, developing our flat and/or your over-fences skills.
Cost is $160 ($40/hr)
Considered a “starter” or “refresher” package. Package C offers a single, 30-minute introductory lesson. A great option for younger riders just starting out or for a rider who is “getting back on the horse”.

Another great option for our 'little nuggets' that have short attention spans and/or developing their muscle memory. Package D is a
20-minute lunge line lesson, where the horse is kept on a long lead and is controlled with help from the instructor. This helps to establish basic skills such as proper hand and leg position and finding that balanced seat.
Cost is $25
All lessons include basic horse care, safety and horsemanship. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your lesson. Water, bug spray (Deep Woods OFF is recommended) and sunscreen is always advised. Please dress appropriately for riding. Long pants must be worn at all times. Paddock boots are required for regular riders. Beginners should wear boots with a heel (i.e. work/hiking boots). If you do not own a helmet, we can provide one for you. Regular riders may inquire about custom, long-term packages. Treats are always welcomed! Our horses love apples, carrots and peppermints.
Showing is not required, but is encouraged! For those interested in showing, inquire with the instructor as there are many options for all levels of competition.
